Default Dad's 80 TA and Mine...lots of pics

Well my father and I have been working on this old bird for a few years now and it has been running for months but I have not taken any good pics of it so far so today we took some of it and some updated pics of mine too.
For the 80 TA we have put a 400 Pontiac in, comp cam 274XER cam, Edelbrock P & P heads, Edelbrock Intake, Holley 750 Double Pumper, forged pistons, stock rods/crank (not much need to forge those for what we are doing with it), um....turbo 350 tranny with shift kit, 2600 stall, 3.42 gears. Body: repaint with Starlight Black..a few coats with a crap load of clear. Interior has the original seats, carpet, and dash...all factory except for the radio and speakers. The wheels are WS6 wheels that have been refurbished and powdercoated. My 2000 TA has the normal bolt ons and a spray kit.... nothing special there. Anyways here are some pics of the cars.

I love those wheels and when I get that car down the road that is the wheel setup I am going to put on it. They are a lot of money and we used it on the paint job. You should have seen the ugly rims it had on it when we got it....
Thanks for the comments!

lol.....well It would be really close in the 1/8th because that old 400 has a CRAP load of tq.... We will run them soon and I'll let ya know. If I am spraying though it won't be so close anymore . He still wins in attention getting though because any time I drive that car it seems like people will go out of their way to come see it and talk about what they had back in the day. Its really fun and you just don't get that with our 4th gens.

Very nice I had '79 Red with that same red interior. When yours is 30 years old everyone will talk about it like they are the '80 now.

Honestly I agree that the red is too much but its all factory. Later down the road I think I will do a black interior with red accents/inserts here and there to keep the theme but not be soo bright. He loves it though.
