2012 GTR sets ring record with 7:20
Perhaps you're talking circle track stuff? If so, I'll bow out since turning is over rated.

I can appreciate the GTR for what it is and I'm sure it's a blast to drive. I'm just not a fan of the styling.

The interwebs are always serious bidness.
You want an obnoxious driving experience, drive an over weight, front heavy, car with Subaru's AWD system around a road course like Watkins Glenn. Nothing's more fun than braking hard into a turn, having the nose dive hard and then having loads of understeer right before the apex.

Everything comes down to personal preference. I've owned a few AWD cars and I really don't think I'll buy another one for serious track duty for example.

And you still haven't explained why a clutch operated manual is better than a clutchless manual or my auto/manual. Using your left leg for the total driving experience is a lame answer.
But hey...what to the worlds best car builders know?
Real sports cars are rwd, have manual transmissions with a clutch pedal that allow the driver to control the car, and NOT the car control the driver. In other words automatics/paddle shift with AWD/FWD need not apply.

I don't have an auto/manual because I'm lazy, my Harley and my Yamaha YZ250 have a clutch and a manual gearbox and I ride them both quite often. Besides most people will agree that having a clutch in a daily driver when you're in heavy stop & go traffic is a pain in the ***. So I still haven't heard why it's an advantage to have a clutch pedal in a car.
