Default What cam does this sound like???
Preliminary: First owner did all the mods to this car between 99-04. Mods he did are in sig(99 ss) minus the short stick and cutout. The car has been tuned also. 2nd owner did nothing to it but maintain it and has no clue anything was done. I bought the car last november.

I put in the new TR5 plugs and msd wires(it was in need of it). The car definitely idles smoother but this car definitely has something bigger than an LS6 cam. It made the sound more noticeable. I hope to get it dynoed soon. Here is a video (cutout open). I hope someone can help me figure out what it sounds close to that was popular back when the first owner had it between 99-04.

Yea it's more noticeable in person. Someone said it could be the ls6 cam but I thought that it was suppose to sound stock.

Sounds similar to the tr220 on a 114 to me. Anyone to 2nd this?

it could be anything...the only way to know is to pull the cam and check the part number

yea i really don't want to go through the trouble of taking it out.

Not gonna lie it almost sounds like an exhaust leak. Its definetly a cam on a 114+ lsa prolly 115 or 116.

I agree with you guys, sounds damn close to a 220/220 with a high LSA like 114. The numbers back that guess up as well.
