Harlen's car. I think at that time it had a turbo or twin turbo and was a 9 or 10 second car. But I do not recall exactly.

It had to be boosted no stroker kit will keep up with a gsxr 1000. My car will not keep up with my 2 diff liter bikes untill i hit about the speed they let off, then it passes them. But they pull away first. It had to be stronger than my car.

i agree the vid is sick, and dont doubt it is as fast as stated, but the car does not sound like an 8 sec car, even a 9 or 10 sec car, listen to how long it takes for him to get to the top of his gears...i think im through 4th quicker then that, not calling bs by any means, just found it funny...

it wasnt even a damn gsxr1000 those are made by suzuki the bike the guy was on is a yamaha and the suzuki would own the yamaha, as well as that car.

Its not a gsxr. Its a yahama thunderace 1000, they run mid 10's stock. It took 12 seconds to go from 60ish-140, and the video is at least 3 years old. I'm guessing he had alot less mods when that video was made.

i believe at the time of that race, harlen was hittn mid 9's @ around 165mph. But i could be wrong

My post was talking to the other guy that said the bike would own him. That's why I told him I wasn't aware that those bikes trapped over 165MPH.

so what track is he running at where he is trapping at 165 and running 9s without a roll cage? just food for thought i dont think that car is that fast if you look at the speedo when he got out of it he was at 140, that was from a roll and if you look at the movie counter it took him 12 secs to get that fast so, all the facts point to a little bit above average f-body completely taking that bike out of its advantage in being able to launch and accelerate from a stop quickly. have seen lots of videos where you go from a 90 roll and can stay with a bike, if he does that from a stop HE IS THE MAN. not trying to rant exspecially with someone who lives where i am and is a fellow tidewater racing brother but to many facts in the video to point to my conclusion

All good. I was just pointing out that fact that if the car did in fact trap 166MPH then he would've eaten those bikes up from a roll because obviously he has the power.

And yeah no harm no foul I can't argue with a fellow F-body guy that lives that close to me. We have to stick together around here.

good Lord...this is an OLD video with harlans OLD setup. He used to have the Incon twin turbo kit. If you look on the window, I believe that was his dial in time of 10.90 At that time his car was basically a stock Firehawk with the Incon kit. He then modded that kit and got to 10.0 Then, he went to something totally different and now has a racecar basically. So basically in the video, you are looking at a 10.90 car
