Default My Dream Garage (updated pictures)

The first picture is of the house and the building behind it that my dad and I have been building over the last 6 months

here are some shots of the building

The buidling is 20' x 40' with a 10' overhang to store the camper and boat. The area in font of were the picture was taken is the site for a 40' x 60' buidling.

the rest are close up pictures and some of the inside.

we still have to drywall, paint and finish the rest of the electrical then it will become a cabinet shop until the bigger building is built. Then this building will be a car shop for me and my dad and will include a lift. When we move all the equipment we will have the 2 car garage at the house empty for the first time in 16 years and is were my car will be parked till the other building is built. I have also been trying to get him to pave the dirt road and we had it quoted at $23,000 Just seeing what you guys think I love our house and the buidling but the dirt road is not to kind to the SS.

Nice, a lot of room to work on the car. Room for a lift even.

This house my buddy (electrician) is working on right now has a heated garage with 9 car spaces with lifts in each and a fireakin elevator that runs from the garage up to the house and literally every tool and compressor and welder you would ever need. That is my dream garage. I'll see if he can maybe take a camera and get some pics of it, the guy is insanly loaded and its still being built.

that sounds awesome but having a nine car garage is more then I will need I think. I have been messing with some house plans that I would like to build for myself someday and some have room for 6 cars but all have at least 4 bays. I hope to have 4 or 5 pleasure cars at some point so got to have some where to store them and work on them.

Very nice. I have a garage, but I would take one of those in a heartbeat. One of these days when we move out of the subdivision to some property, I will have "the shop".

I think everyone on this site would love to have a shop to work on there cars and the best part I think is we will have A/C in there to keep the SS and us nice and cool during the summer.

ya thats nice will have to tell my Dad to build the next one bigger but this is really just a starter shop so we can clean out the garage which hasn't had two cars in iit for one the 17 years we have lived there. The next shop will be just a little smaller than that there are some nice cars in there also mine is all alone.

Very cool... Where I want to live I won't be able to do anything like that, but if I end up building my next house, which I plan on, I will probably build it up on stilts and use the whole bottom as a garage/storage with and in and out garage door opening!

For now I am just happy my house even has a garage!

concrete is really expensive right now I dont remember the price to pour the slab but the price has gone up since then. I think my Dad sayed it would be cheaper to use assfault I dont know though we will probably just leave the dirt road its actually washout so just patches of dirt. There is also a major road coming the the farm across from us so we may not build the big building cause my parents will want to move farther into the country.
