thanks guys.

GotV-8, we caught all our tuna this year off the coast of New Hampshire at the Isle of Shoals and Off of Rockport/Gloucester Mass. They were all caught on G Loomis Pelagic spinning rods w/ Shimano Baitrunner 6500 reels. For the small tuna like these we like to use what we call the "run and gun" method, when we see a school of tuna come up we will run to them, cut the throttle back about 100 yds away from the school and start casting into to the school once within range. It's really exciting, you can do this all day long with tuna blowing up all around the boat and in every direction.

Yeah they will fight right to the end, when they first hit they will rip 70-80 yds of line off the reel so fast you would think it's gonna melt and this is with a drag set so tight that when you try to pull line off the reel with your hands that it will almost cut your hands before the drag slips. They will make several hard runs like this and then they will start making shorter runs until you get them next to the boat where they will then sit under the boat and swim in circles till you can pull them up. Their size is deceiving as well, the big one in the pics weighed 50 lbs the small one was est. @ 25 lbs.

Haha, I was waiting for someone to ask about that fish, it's called a wolf fish (fitting name ha) it's a bottom feeding fish, big head, big teeth eats mostly on lobster and crabs. Believe it or not it's really good eating, taste alot like the lobster that we have in the northeast if you've ever had one of those.
