Reason to NEVER let your friend drive your car - *RIP SS*
Last night a buddy of mine didn't have his truck around and wanted to make a run to a convienience store, so I throw him my keys. Pretty good friend of mine, I work with him, pretty trustworthy. I said, you're sober right? Sure enough, he was.
Standing outside his house several blocks away we hear tire squeal, engine, chirped a gear, brakes locked, BOOM. Me and my buddies go "no ******* way"
We take off RUNNING looking for the car but can't find it.
My car when I bought it:

It's a month old, low miles. Still have a custom tag in the mail for it. Just spent $150 on hawk brake pads 3 days ago.

And last.. my favorite picture angle from before the car was wrecked.
There were 286 ft of black marks going around a corner, cross over where he spun backwards, and into a tree.
Turns out, there was some weed sitting beside my passenger door right under it like it fell out when the passenger got out to run. Cops believed me that it wasn't mine (really isn't, I don't do that) and pinned it on the driver as well. Here's a quick glance of the car.

someone would be eating his teeth i dont care how good a friend he is if he did that to my car, also with your description sounds like he was trying to get on it pretty good and lost it in a turn ...... also nobody would ever be driving my car without me in it at the least

im glad my friends are a lot more trustworthy to drive my car respectfully, as they would want me to drive their car the same way

I'm just glad nobody was seriously hurt. It sucks that my favorite car i've ever owned is gone, but like others said it can be replaced with something greater. I paid much less than NADA book on it and owe less than I paid, so hopefully I should come out ahead. I am thinking about sueing his insurance company for the damage done to the system in the back, that was NOT cheap. I work at a car audio store and my boss did the system, I know how much labor is on something like that.
Plan now is to buy a V6 car, transfer over what I can, and try to have a nice car again.

I see so many of these F-body cars at the scrapyards when I go with buddies. Most people are ignorant to the fact that these cars are very ballsy. I've seen a couple of new F-Body owners in my club eat it when they stomp on the gas. They either don't have enough experience with the car yet or they're not aware of what it can do. ****, I've owned my T/A for about five years now and it still scares me sometimes, in a good way.
