Re: 01 ZO6 vs 65 Shelby Cobra Seems as if the Cobra accelerated faster but doesn't quite have thesame top end. Because he catches the Z06 like nothing after he gets him out of the hole.

HEHEHE cant wait to show my buddy this one. He has a Factory 5 cobra replica that has been waiting for the motor for over 3 months now. This is gonna drive him insane!
We also installed a hotcam so it sounds like it's a real engine.
My car w/ a similar setup in a 3500lb fbody went 12.1@117.
His car is ~700lb's lighter.
The question about the video, is what engine did the AC Cobra have? 427 or 289? Even so, the 427's were *only* good for maybe high 11's @ ~120mph, so a Z06 w/ bolt-ons would do OK.
