Dude a Katana 600 is like a detuned slower version of a gsx-r 600 so I can believe that it took the bike.

I hadnt realized how quick they were until a few weeks ago. If I do sell my Cobra I may replace it with one that my wife, Father and I can drive. With bolt ons and a 100 shot ofcourse. I have a buddy on SRT8 Forums who ran a 12.8 @ 109 stock.

That's a really great video.

Poor little 305 TBI, even the nitrous doesn't do much for those cars, haha. I have an 88 Formula 305 TBI for my daily driver. It ran a 16.4 @ 82 bone stock and with a full exhaust (headers, hi-flow cat, and catback) it did a 15.79 @ 87, so it picked up a ton for the mods. Too bad it's still a high 15 second car.

Coo vid! I feel bad for the guy that bought that POS bike. I think the 305 could have taken it, lol.

actually the katana is nothin like the GSXR.

katana still has a steel chassis, not aluminum. old school air cooled motor, not a liquid cooled, completely different bike. the katana is slow, runs a low-mid 12 factory. a gsxr or similar bike (CBR, ZX, R6, Ect) will run a mid 11 factory. katana's are slow, i would know since i have a bandit (naked katana)

I know, I just tried posting it in a way where everyone would get the idea that a katana 600 isnt that fast.

I know a guy that had a Katana 600 a couple years ago and he had problems with bolton converter f-bodys from a roll, bolton 6 speed ls1 beat em, cammed ls1 beat em bad, hell my friend's bolton 93 Notch hung with em lol. His own HCI Z28 would RAPE his Katana.

So when this one came out, I knew he was in for some losses before the night was over heh

I had an 85 firebird as my DD with the 305 and that car actually got great gas mileage considering it only had 180 hp or something like that but never had a problem with it.
