Default Y-Pipe for Shortty headers..

I have been searching around the internet and on this site, but I can't seem to find a Y-pipe that is specifically made for shorty headers. Does it matter which y-pipe i use? I have JBA shorty headers and a Borla catback. I'm looking for a y-pipe without cats for a 00' camaro (ls1). Thanks for any help!

I think you would use the same Y that works with stocker manifolds. Like the MAC or the DynoMax off road Y pipes.

I think you have to have one custom made, I might be wrong. Just go to an exhaust shop and tell them they can keep the cats if they make a Y-pipe for you.

you should just get long tubes most come with the option for a y pipe and also LT's will give you more power then shortys not much but every little bit counts.

MAC and Dynomax make a Y-pipe for 98-00 exhaust manifolds. The Shorty headers will bolt right up to your stock manifolds so as long as your car is 98-00 you should be fine.

Shorty headers are what replaces stock manifolds.

here are some if you still need them. i went to a muffler shop and had them make my 3" off road Y. it doesn't have no clearance issues or issues with it banging on the bottom of my car. it was only 90 bucks and it was well worth it.

$90 is alot less than the pre fabbed ones i've been looking at, i think i'll look into just getting one made. What part of ok are you in? What shop did you get yours made at?
