Question about a 2002 T/A for sale on Craigslist Here's the email I sent to the seller. Read this first, check out the pictures and please tell me what you guys think... is this a WS6 that was wrecked and "fixed" or what?

Something about this car doesn't add up. The list of RPO codes inside the driver's door indicates that the car is a Trans Am with the WS6 performance package, but the rear bumper is the base model Firebird bumper, not the Trans Am bumper; and the "WS6" badge on the rear bumper looks like it was stuck on by someone else.
Was this car rear-ended at some point and the bumper replaced?
Does the car have a clean title or salvage title?

car looks awful with that bumper... I wouldnt buy it just cause of that. Just my opinion though, no offense to Firebird bumper lovers ^_^;
As far as the car... it obviously was in an accident of some sort to the rear... Idk why anyone would replace the bumper just for fun like that. I think whatever shop did it, failed.

That bumper has got to go !
That WS6 emblem is about a mile away from where it should be. Theres a big *** dent in teh pass. rear quarter, paint it jack up on a few places in the front. I'd run from that car...its someone's "piece together for as cheap as possible" after the accident car.
Its cheap for a reason.

That thing looks like it's just been flatout beat to death. The front end looks like he drove through a sandstorm at 150. Not to mention the repaint on the back looks pretty rough...

Looks like a rust stain coming up thru the carpet in front of the rear seat. Also looks like they folded down the rear backrest and hauled livestock or auto parts in there.

theirs couple of things i don't like about buying cars like our from a dealer are. they never have a complete list of whats done to the car, and you never really know how bad it was beat.. i like to see the owner and see if hes a good guy or not and on top of that they always rip you off

That car looks like it has been hit in the rear bumper tells it all, bad orange peel on the paint. And what I don't get is that they didn't fix the front with a lil paint IDK. And the FAST intake looks a lil rough I would Carfax it and I bet you will find out that it has been hit.

bumper is hideous, its prob been rear ended plus its modded pretty good i see the AIR has been deleted the FAST intake etc who knows it might have a cam, its probably been beat pretty hard aside from the fact its probably been wrecked. Id stay away especially from craigslist cars id go with a car off the ls1tech clasifieds at least then you can talk to the owner directly and they know what they are talking about
