Default shaking and change of tone with exhaust!

i was out the other night raced a couple times with the 150 shot cars tuned, gears, stall, cam, lts, ls6 intake, and true duals after making one last run i decided to call it a night so i was heading home and my car sounded a little diff not thinking anything of it i keep going when i went under a bridge i could really tell. then i came to a light and started to stop and my car felt like it had a left to right shake thought it was a flat but no luck there i gave it some gas when the light turned green it kinda cut out just a little and shook also while taking off thats when i really heard the exhaust it got alot deeper a little louder and alot more popping in it any ideas?

just a recommendation not a diagnosis

wonder if a pretty good exhaust leak or vacuum leak would cause this. check your plugs as well, could have fouled one or two out causing a bad miss. hence a rough idle and different sound.

Sounds like it's misfiring, check the plugs and make sure There aren't any holes anywhere

so 4 were bad, you replaced them and its still running bad? if 4 were that bad i wonder if something internally has gone wrong, or you leaned out the motor too much, who did your tune? and is the tune for all of your current mods

Are you throwing a code? Is your SES light flashing? What kind of n2o setup are you running? (wet/dry)... Sounds like it could be your MAF, and sometimes it wont throw a code. What will happen is the car will rev up just fine, but off idle it almost seems like its missing and youll have to get on the gas and then the car will just jump...

I literally have no idea if this will help. But I backed over a small lip and my drive shaft safety brace got caught and bent up onto the exhaust causing a vibration and a very weird noise. The noise increased as I rev'd my engine.

If that helps you can look at it yourself, the safety brace is located under the car nearly dead in the middle. It has two dips in it, a small hole and sits directly where the exhaust goes into the duals. I have the SLP center mount. So I am not sure if the mounting is the same.

I hope that helps, highly doubtful but it takes you 32 seconds to check and it is worth it.

i believe your tuner should have set all codes having to do with emissions off if you are running without cats

I'm running with LT's but have hi-flow cats. Turned off most emissions but left a few HO2S or O2 sensor codes on. Sometimes, as far as some other vehicles, O2 sensors will throw a code saying ur running too lean or too rich. Of course, not 100% on the LS1's. Could be DTC code P1133 saying something or could just simply be be showing there is a misfire ... keep us updated on what code was thrown.
