*STOCK* LS1 Dyno Numbers POST! (Do A Search)
i have a 02 SS Camaro non SLP option car its a 6 speed with 120,000 miles on the stock motor
its has a K&N Air filter Whisper lid and MSD coil packs (only because stock ones failed which i know don't give any power)
just finished getting it tuned last night and it put down 363 Hp and 365 TQ
will have a print out asap to prove this but i was curious what other stock
LS1's are putting down and if yall think that mine is a factory freak or something

Pretty happy dyno if you ask me, and this is why IMO Dyno numbers don't mean much in the real world. Take it to the track and see what the car runs as far as trap speed because that is a better indicator of real horsepower.

this dyno **** is really getting out of control. i cant look at them anymore. this guy puts out the same as some bolt on mild cam only cars.
dynos are only good for before and after comparisons between mods.

Either there is something wrong with that dyno, or the dyno operator, or your car is not nearly as stock as you are claiming (not saying you're lying, if you bought it used you might have mods you don't know about).
Fact is, an '02 LS1 that's totally stock besides an air lid and tune does not make 363rwhp.

My 2000 Z28 A4 with stock airbox/lid, Free Ram Air mod and a 3.42 Rear end made 317/330. This is the same dyno that I dyno'd my SS on when it was stock with a Lid only and that one made 309, forget the torque. The highest I've personally seen a stock F-Body go was 320-325, the ones I usually see with higher #'s tend to be the 1SC option cars. Go figure the cheapest and bare bones F-Bodys you could get were the ones that typically made the most stock HP.
Either way, dyno is more of a tuning tool as well as seeing what your mods have gotten you. The Traps through the 1/4 mile tell the real story.

From what I have read, I have to agree with the above statement. The corvette c5 z06 are supposeably equipped with better flowing exhaust manifolds, cat and muffler systems then our f-bodies. From what I have seen online, most dyno in the low to mid 350 range to the ground. Some people are even boasting mid 360's to low 370 range to the ground. Even with the LS6, those higher number are questionable with a stock powered car. Just my thoughts, but those are nice numbers.

to my knowlege the car is stock yall have to remember i bought this car used i have no idea whats done to it.
everything i have done to this car since i have owned it is listed below
1. 255 walbro because stock fuel pump was cutting out and breaking up(zero power)
2. short throw which adds zero power
3. K&N air filter(maybe 10HP)
4. Whisper lid(maybe 5HP)
5. Replaced facotry MAF with updated model because car would break up on 4th gear pull
6. MSD coil packs which fixed the break up on 4th gear pull(zero power)
7. MSD 8.5mm plug wires
8. HP tuner
9. Flowmaster catback which was on the car whenever i bought it from a dealership
now the first time the car went on the dyno it made 344 hp and 348 TQ no that is with it breaking up on the 4th gear pull
Fixed the breaking up problem redynod and it made 363 hp and 365 TQ (these numbers were max hp and tq
now im not trying to say my car is ungodly fast or anything im just want to know how my car is making these numbers on a mustang dyno i don't believe they are acurate IMO just curious to see what yall think
but the car will be going to another dyno to make sure and if it still shows those numbers then i will take it either to Tick performance or R.P.M which are very reputiable shops and see what it does there

Not even close. K&N is good for somewhere between 0 and 2hp.
You've under estimated here. An air lid is worth about 10rwhp on a stock car, give or take a couple hp.
