Default Weird "Safety Features"

Anyone know of any weird safety features on these cars?

My dad just found that the E-Brake seems to not release unless you're actually sitting in the car seat... pretty interesting...

Not in mine. The E-brake will drop if the car's off, running, or otherwise. Not sure what he means by that one.

hmm.. ok.. maybe the car has to be on, then.
That is interesting, though.. I was wondering what would keep someone from putting the car in neutral, and taking off the E-brake.. if you were to leave the windows down or something... you know, if they were EVIL.

that's a good idea, i suppose

Thanks, phoenix

I dont think you can shift the car out of park without your foot on the brake if your an A4, if your an M6 I doubt you can shift the car without the keys in the ignition.

I can put the car in any gear I want when its not running. I do it all the time. First time you go to swap drive shafts you'll figure that one out.

Yeah sometimes the ebrake is hard to drop depending on the angle youre trying to press the button or pull up so you can drop it easier, but theres nothing in the seat that prevents it, the button is mechanical.

As for manuals they can go into gear without the car being on, they wont grab the gear fully without rocking the car a bit but you can do it.

No gear change without having your foot on the brake with an automatic car.
