well you can ditch it and use ls1edit to remove the SES code. This looks alot cleaner in bay, but of course is not technically street legal.

same with A.I.R..

Since i chose ORY, i said screw EGR, AIR and cats, and well its a box of junk you'll have laying around. I probably wouldn't do this in california, or anyplace that roller-dyno's your emissions though. More junk in the way is how i see it. Nuke it! if you can get away with it.

EGR = exhaust gas recirculation. used for emission purposes on the 98-00 cars.

there are emissions headers and race headers. get the emissions one with the egr provisions if you plan to keep your egr.

Do you have emissions testing?
If so do you know what type of test they run?
That would be the deciding factor for me upon what to get.

No we dont have emissions testing here in Oklahoma, as far as i know, does it matter if you keep it or not? I mean would it make more power to get rid of it and do LS1edit?

unless you get an ls6 intake in replace of your ls1 intake the gains from deleting your egr will be nil. just cleans up the engine bay.

EGR doesn't affect power.
LS1 edit will!
You can delete EGR & rear O2's + have it tuned for what ever else.

So do the 01's and 02's not have EGR? Was it replaced with something else, or just removed?

they got the truck cam that negated the need for the egr.

We don't have car inspections of any kind bro. You didn't know that? That's one reason why OK is cool to have a muscle car. Now I just wish it wouldn't have this god forsaken shitty *** weather.

so ditch AIR and EGR and get the race headers. Less clutter

you can still pass obd-II only emissions with an edit tune
