If you want 500 HP the the ground it is going to take a lot of cam, very good heads, and compression to get there. You can probably get mid 400's to the ground without getting to crazy but 500 is a stretch on stock cubes. We have several heads/cam packages to choose from. Let me know what you are looking at doing with the car and what supporting mods you have and we'll come up with some ideas to get you where you want to be.

Its going to be a play toy but i dont wanna run no more than 93 octane correct me if im wrong would be about 11.0/1 compression give or take on other things im wanting a nasty cam. it will be going threw a 4L60e i wanna be able to drive on the street and be able to go for a 2 or so hour cruse if i want but go down the track too. so basically a all around car that has sum power and have no prob taken those new 5.0 that ford put out lol . thanks Kyle

460 is attainable through an auto, 500 on stock cubes is going to be VERY tough. Don't get hung up on numbers though. 450+ in a fox, with the rest of the car setup good, should be a 10 second car no problem. You'll want to high $$ heads like AFR, TFS, or PRC if you want big numbers.

ok alot of people have said that cuz my car is so light unlike the f bodies. ok i can handle mid 400 so my next ? is i know more about the 5.0 as far as injector size and fuel rails and all that thats my big ? so if get a set 243 heads have them ported and polished new valve springs but wat valve spring i know it makes a diff on the cam. with a fast or ls6 intake ported with a 95mm tb? and have no idea on cam ? how does that sound ??? and can i use the stock wiring harness from and ss or should i sell it and get a stand alone one ?

Stock wiring harness will be fine.
Injector size depends on the cam, but a lot of shops have run cam only/ mild h/c cars on the stock injectors. You will probably end up wanting a bigger, but don't quote me on that...I'm no fuel expert.
Call one of our MANY sponsors and ask them to spec you out a cam. EPS has been doing great things with their new EPS lobe cams. Tell them what you want out of the car (power, driveability) and they'll set you up.
If you go with the 243s, you shouldn't expect anywhere near 500rwhp. 450+ will be doable, but you'll need to get a very good port job on them. Springs are dependent on the specs of your cam.
LS6 intake will suffice up to and a little over 450rwhp, but again if you want max pwoer, go with a FAST intake and matching manifold.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE OVERALL COMBO. DO NOT JUST SLAP PARTS TOGETHER AND HOPE THEY MAKE POWER. That is the key, well thought out combination > individual parts.

why not add swap out the crank and rods to get more displacement? a 4.00" stroke will bring up the displacement to 383 instead of the 346 that the LS1 came stock with...

i dont wanna spend that much on the bottom end i would like to keep the bottom end stock but balanced and blue printed. just manly the top end but i guess if i bore it ill have to get new pistons. i do wanna keep the build coast down cuz im ganna have a lot of money rapt up in doing the swap over and with the fuel can i just use the vett fuel filter that has the fuel pressure regular built into it? and still just run one fuel line up to the motor
