California emissions and header Q's
Im going to get the TSP 1 7/8" headers (with Air and Egr) and was considering getting their catted Y pipe so i could hopefully smog, but if i install that setup will it still be emissions legal for Ca. ?

If he's willing to bend the rules yes. Technically, no.
1) It is illegal to move the cats from their original location.
2) It is illegal to use an aftermarket catalytic converter on a OBD II vehicle.
3) Long Tubes are illegal in CA period.

Man, f**k California.
'OP, as long as you know the shop owner and are certain they will ignore your 'mods, and as long as the car passes the actual test parameters you should be fine. I know that my smog shop basically checks to see if there's an engine in the car-I could have a metal casing with hamsters in a wheel in there and they wouldn't notice it...

thanks guys, im probably gonna end up with the TSP headers and for now an ORY and a few months down the road have a local shop do True Dual exhaust and just pay off a shop to pass the smogg for me.
