Default grinding off the throttle body

ive read the threads about making the mod to reduce the slack out of the throttle body, thus opening it up 100%

today i had my car EFI tuned and it showed my tb only opened up 75% at wot. now can i grind off that nub on the tb allowing it to open the valve 100%

i did the exact same thing on my throttle body..you only need to shave off an eighth of an inch maybe a tad more..i took the whole throttle body apart, took the butterlfy out and removed the rod and just used my cutoff wheel and trimmed it down.

If your TPS sensor is only reading 75% then you have something else wrong.

First off figure out if it's the throttle body at all. Work the
cable cam by hand and see what your max TPS volts are.
And measure the blade position across the face, more
importantly. That wants dead center. If you grind the
stop it should be based on that, alone.

I've seen cars that would only draw to ~80% because the
gas pedal had not enough draw. That wants a bench vise
and a piece of pipe.
