Hey I've read the threads on production numbers and I've also looked them up on yahoo google etc and I keep finding different numbers. Is there somewhere I can go to get my info and also to make sure all my options are taken into consideration? I tried that compnine website and it always says its down etc

ya when i tried it last night it kept saying it timed out or something like that. Just tried it now and it worked. I'm new to this whole thing can someone help me out with understanding this stuff.
There are 1 1998 FIREBIRD 2 DR vehicles (0.003%) matching your exact options list. There are 5 (0.016%) with at least as many options.
My car is really common, why does this indicate that it's rare?
If you parked your car next to one of the hundreds or thousands of similar cars in our database you probably couldn't tell them apart, but that doesn't mean they aren't different.
For example, some may have an RPO listing for the plant in which they were built. If yours was one of only a few that came out of that plant with a given list of options, it would come back as rare. Another car may have all the same options but was built at a different facility and thusly it's considered different.

I guess I either dont know how to read it or that info isnt the info I need. example 300 with traction control and 400 with t-tops etc ok so how many had the t-tops AND traction control. thats what im getting at. i see all kinda of numbers out there but ya.......

T-tops (RPO CC1) were standard for Trans Am starting in 1998. Traction control (RPO NW9) was optional through 2002.

ya i kinda figured they pretty much all had the traction control t-tops etc i was using that as an example...did they offer different gearing options? etc I wanna know how many cars were made with the EXACT same rpo codes as mine without seeing what i mentioned previously. Like how does someone know if they have 1 of 400 cars produced with their exact same options for example...how do they find out their EXACT numbers?

As for the WS6 cars it depends on if ASC has that info. Take my CETA for example; it is #729 out of the 839 M6/T-Top CE's built.
The guy I'm talking to at ASC started to give me the breakdown of the cars I would send him requests for. But do to the increasing numbers of VIN's I've been sending him he just gives me the build date and number.
