If you want to reuse the LS1 "X" coolant line then you have to knock off the fins on the bottom of the LS6 intake.

guys i DID knock off the fins, but thats not the problem. the problem is that i can't get the "X" to sit on TOP of the ls6 valley cover. it hits the tube thing that protrudes from the new valley cover and so i can't bolt down the "X".

I think you have to get new coolant lines since you switched to the ls6 valley cover. Im not 100% sure on that tho

this is crap. i just went outside and messed with the intake and crossover line, there is NO way that people are using the ls1 "X" line with the new ls6 VC. i actually bent the "X" a little bit so that i could bolt it on, but then when putting the ls6 intake on top it doesnt sit flush.

the ls6 VC has that tube that sticks out, and it creates a "ramp" looking piece on the VC so the coolant line sits on top of that a little and prevents the intake manifold to sit properly.

i took off the "X" and just mocked up the intake, and there is virtually NO room between the manifold and the "ramp" on the VC.

it looks like i'll have to run the ls6 coolant lines. i'm surprised i didnt read about this being a MUST. when doing the ls6 VC. awesome, gotta spend another $100 on stupid ls6 coolant lines.

I bought two and put them on a few days ago when I put my FAST 92 on. I had to bend the outlet tube down for the back one to get it to fit under the wiring harness. Three foot of 1/4 fuel line was perfect to run the hose up the driver side on the intake up to the front and tee in with the front crossover tube and the line that goes to the radiator.
