Default Car just hit 205,000 miles...

The car is my dd and I want to be proactive here and replace things that COULD/WILL fail causing me to be out. I know its impossible to fix everything internally without doing a total rebuild, which I dont have quite that much cash to do. I have heard possibly changing the oil pump, timing chain etc. Just kind of wanting to replace things along the way. any suggestions on what to do to keep this thing running for another couple years at least? I have changed the plugs/wires and change the oil every 3000 miles and have a small oil leak with a few drips in the driveway every night. loses about 1/2 quart every oil change. No burning oil. Thanks in advance!

Things that go are things that go on any car around that mileage...

-Fuel Pump
-Battery
-Oil Pump
-Water Pump
-Power Steering pump
-Alternator
-Thermostat

Make sure you have changed your rear diff fluid recently and coolant, tranny fluid. Make sure your maf is clean. May want to sea foam at this point.

do a oil pump and ls2 timing chain.install new valve springs and get some low mileage stock rocker arms.maybe install a new pcv valve.go to ls1howto.com for pics and instructions.you can get these parts at TSP website.

Na, I waited till 225K miles when my motor actually pretty much crapped out on me... so just do some maintance work and keep an eye on all your fluid levels.

my chassis has 118k but the ls6 and tranny have less then 600/10,000 respectivley.
if you just keep up with routine maintenance you should be fine assuming you dont beat the hell out of it.

There are plenty of members here with 200K+ f-bodys. Just keep up the oil changes and basic maintenance imo.

The oil drips could be from a front or rear main oil seal. both cost some cash to replace but a few drips a night wouldn't be bad as long as its not leaking on the flywheel.
