Stock hp figures?

Stock hp figures?
Just a quick question. When I got my car dyno'd, the dyno guy told me that Vettes are rated at the crank and F-bodys are rated at the rear wheel on the factory literature. From what I can see if the F-body puts out 320 rwhp and the Vette (if what he said is accurate) puts out 405 (Z06) crank horses, then the Vette is at about 350 rwhp (approx). The F-bodys would be at somewhere around 345 at the crank. Not much of a difference at all. If this is true then my aspirations of 415 rwhp is not necessary to scrap a Vette. It would make more sense if they were both rated the same way but I have seen other puzzling things from the General.
Any one that can clear this up for me?

the z06 puts about ~350 to the wheels. the f-body and vette ls1's put out ~300 to the wheels (both stock). flywheel and rear wheel is a big difference. your 400+ goal is attainable, but not as easily as you think. lots of money, unless of course you go with nitrous.

All the LS1/6s are rated in FWHP. The F-Bods were just grossly underrated so as not to overshadow the Corvette. The 405HP Z06 usually is around 355-365rwhp, but also weighs a few hundred pounds less than an F-body.

Unit am I gonna get attitude all day.
Lets drop it
Chillin you do know FWHP is Flywheel
Also I wouldn't go so far as say grossly underated.
If you talk to GM engineers the parasitic loss of
an M6 is approx 12%. If your 325 02 puts down
300 rwhp thats 340 fwhp. Which would actually
be less than the claim if you had the 345 package.

Guys, guys, guys. I was just effing around about the nos b/s. The reason why is because I was out at the local street racing scenes and saw a bunch of guys running high powered, supercharged, bottle fed, wannabe carbon fibre, 15 inch tail pipe, neon lights! WOW! So, since I am a muscle car racer from way back its just me effing around and poking fun of the ignorance of the kids who succumb to the "pretty packaging" but no go antics of some car makers. To them 13s is cooking. To us 13s is a disgrace. 10s to them is goddom. 10s to us is a good starting point. Drifting to them is something fun. To us its a necessity just to drive our street beasts safely.
Now Im getting pissed at these people.
It was once posed to me on a documentary about cars. I cant seem to remember what channel or the name of the show but the most distinguishing part about this show is that the spokes person said, "there are no other engines that produce power like the American V-8. None of the other automotive engines are capable of producing power in the same rpm range and the broad range of torque for the package size given." So what that says to me is that there is something right about what we have. If you look at foreign car makers and their engines available now, there seems to be this trend going around of a famed 5.7 litre engine. So for all those Arsenio watchers---HHMMMMMM!
