For guys like me on a somewhat restricted budget use the NGK TR55's and I run Duralast wires..modestly priced AND actually have less resistance than most brands. Tested it myself, never got to compare to MSD, but that's like buying Nike shoes, a bit better, but not worth the extra dough in my eyes.

I was gonna try the RPM speed wires you have Blk98Vert. I think secondary ignition cables need some resistance to function correctly. 0 ohms doesn't sound right.....

No you don't!!!

Gimmick for the most part this issue is.
6-8" plug wire is going to be that seriously wrongly built that it would have so much resistance it'll lower voltage to the plug.
And a plug only needs to see around 20,000 volts to fire with the max energy it is capable of.
The excess needs a place to go and a 0 ohm wire or very low ohm wire can allow it to shoot back up through the system and create of find a weak point.

Most here are not racing, running mad boost or high compression where something like that is needed er wanted.

Granatelli's stuff is gimmick or copies of others hard work, from the beginning to now they have been pushing snake oil's, it started with STP.
15 H.P. claims are made for just using there wire.
You know how many misfires you'd need before your power level was down 15H.P, believe me you'd know it!!!

the best wire I had was Magnacor but I don't even know if they are made. At the time they were the only one that you could order with a 90 deg boot. This made a big difference when running headers. Would still have them on but a shop decided that they needed one of them so I ended up ordering MSD. Which lasted pretty well until they went on this new combo. When I went to check the plugs the internals of the MSD had completely melted and just pulled away leaving long stands of wire. It should be noted that this was after the motor got VERY hot. I have since installed a set of the Taylor 10mm wires which are suppose to be good to 600 deg. They also have an angled boot so we will see how they work out.

Im using granatelli wires and NGK tr55. Call me a liar but i know it smoothed my idle out over stockers. And i felt an increase in throttle response. Maybe not hp as i never tested but i kept my stockers for my dyno tune so I could compare.

My increase i felt was not because of plugs btw as i did wires a few weeks after plugs.

Oh and Granatelli sells high heat wires also. I just reused my heat shields. Granatelli feel more OEM then most. Stout wires.

So if I were to guess the old wires and plugs had some miles on them.
You changed them due to that fact, but your giving the kudo's to a manufacturer when in fact a factory set of new wires could have done the same thing. The old wires once removed and it happens alot don't make good solid contact on the plug ends when removed and reused.

I'm not sure which combo would be the " best " but like a lot of people I have msd and Ngks... I felt zero difference over the stockers.

Yup!!! Stockers with 30k miles on the wires 28k on the irridiums.... Ton and tons of miles. Thats why i kept them instead of throwing them away!!!!

Car currently has 36k miles!!! I think she's on her last leg . I mean 36k is almost 50 and 50 is practicay 100 and well 100k is like a million!!!!

All joking aside. I stick to my original post. And its not my first LS1 so, I most certainly have a comparison..

Oh and I've changed enough wires/plugs to know if I'm getting good connection.

Fwiw, the ngk's worked better on my z28 then my ws6. I should have kept the denso's on my ws6 because i lost a couple mpg in town with ngk tr55. Maybe ill go with the iridium ngk. I just hate #7 an 8....

I run NGK TR55 IX iridiums, and msd 8.5. ws6store has a great price on them. no issues after well over a year.
