Differences
Think of the formula as a stripped down Trans Am. You can still get the leather, power windows and all that stuff in a formula, but the formula's ground effects(or lack thereof) keeps the car a little lighter than that of a TA.
In theory, other than the ACTUAL BODY differences, the Formula and the TA are identical in nature
I bought the TA....Yea it's a little heavier, so with the same mods on a formula it'd be faster, but i wanted the looks. Also, if you want the stealthiness, go for the formula.....
I'd get a TA(knowing the formula would be faster)....

The Trans Am, has different front bumpers, side skirts, hatch/wing, rear bumper, and standard with t-tops (LS1 years anyway) and leather
mechanically they are the same, the only option that could not be ordered (besided body panel differences) was the AQ9 seats (plastic backed, 6 way adjustable, with lumbar)

I'd say no more than 1k maybe slightly more for the TA...

I prefer the Formula. Cleaner styling, very rare, and lighter weight
