I would like to do a cam. What kind of cam would you recommend? I want it to sound real cool but still be streetable.

If you go cam, plan for a tune too. You might not NEED one, but you may as well anyway. It'd be best to tune it

TR224 is common. But for good reason - it works! Get one on the 114 LSA for a better idle/if you have to pass emission or the 112 for a SLIGHTLY lower peak and a lumpier idle.

If nothing else, get a mail order tune, around $150. Check the tuning forum for more info.

And if you don't want to spend the money for a great cam, a GM hotcam is super cheap and will give you the sound/reliablility you want, but won't make near the power a 224 will.

If it were me, I'd go w/ Kenny's answer. You've got the straight line nailed down pretty good already. W/ the $1k you have left over, you can get that thunder chicken squalking around the hair pins too.

Dude,

I know its tempting to go for the power adders right now but for that 1000 bucks I would Deffinitly go for a set of SFC (sub frame connectors around 200ish), STB (strut tower brace around 100ish), LCA's w/ relocation brackets (rear lower control arms w relocation brackets around 200ish), PHR (pan hard rod arounf 100), Ebich Lowering springs (around 250 i think for a set of 4), and Pullies (around 200).

That is just over a grand but I tell you what, "You wil have a completly different car on your hands". Power is great but never over look the suspension! These prices are of course assuming that you install them yourself. You may also want to consider getting the energy suspension trans and torque arm mount, they will help you hook up a little better as well.

Enjoy!
