Default 1998 chevy camaro z28 what should do!!!!

hello i just got a 1998 chevy camaro its clean ill post pics...

$1500 took it home

I'm wondering what mods can i do I'm new to F-BODY's o

maybe upgrade suspension engine upgrades new cam

hell any ideas

i was thinking a slap air box and a k&n filler

its all bone stock

factory 346 LS1 (heads i will check)

t-56 6 speed

it will do cool things like still get good gas milage and burn rubber but i want it to handle and have horses like a big block

what would you guys do and send pics of your friends id love to get mine looking like you guys

should i get a new intake,
throttle body
spark plugs, wires, coil (msd) stock)? what do you think and whats the best oil and filter for my milage

im not looking for 600 horses....yet soon lol but i want this car o be bad. aanyone had any leftover parts that would be sweet id buy them

In my opinion I would get you a slp lid, spectre air filter (25$) and a smooth bellow, ls6 intake and long tubes. You will be happy! Throw a cam kit with lifters if you're inclined

This will help you get started !

mobile 1 synthetic 5w-30 and ac Delco oil filter (this is what I use, my preference)

That may be the best deal I've ever seen... That said, if it were me, I'd lose the auto zone hood scoops and stripes. Let the ford guys keep that ****. Start with a full tune up and fluid swap. I'd strain the oil, trans and diff fluids to see if there is any junk sitting in the pan. Pull codes and address accordingly. Bleed brakes and clutch and after all of that, you'll have a good idea of the true condition of things. The 3rd & 4th gears grinding will likely require attention but bleed the clutch well and see if that improves engagement.

Congrats and good luck!

I have a 96 Z28 and the best mod hands down was to put the GMMG exhaust on it. The guy that used to make GMMG now sells them by the name MadHammer. Pick one up and smile every time you punch it. Best exhaust for 4th GEN imo

unless it has long tubes and no cats then the gmmg blatts unbearably...

I have had 3 long tube no cats cars and both my magnaflow catback and true duals cars are quitter/better sounding less blatt & drone than the gmmg
