mail in tune
is this a good idea?
I've always taken my car to tuner with a mustang dyno.
aren't all cars different? hence needign to tune on rollers?
school me, so i learn, and don't throw money in a hole and burn it.

Tuned by frost mail order tune. You fill out a mod sheet an he tunes your pcm to your specific mods you've done..a dyno tune should always net you more cause they can tweak n re tweak to get the most power out of your car..

Dyno tune all the way!
Mail order tunes work and can be pretty close to what a dyno will, but you won't get everything out of it and it will be a safer tune. When I just did my turbo build I sent my tuner my computer to put a base tune so I could drive it the 4+ hours for him to tune it. The car idled and drove awesome and I think it was pretty dead on......minus the part that he limited my boost to 4.5psi, 4700rpm limit, and top speed of 85mph lol. But that was done to save me from blowing it up.

No matter what your mods are and where you get a mail order tune for you should always check your wot fuel and timing in person. Every vehicle is different and your could be that one out of 100 that runs leaner than the rest. We normally get them pretty close BUT you just don't know if your that 1.

I'd say 99% yes, but a dyno tune is the best and for $450 you can get a street and dyno tune. Then any future mods is usually only $150-$250 for a dyno/street retune.
This for most people will work perfectly fine and I wouldn't have any problems throwing one on a basic bolt-on car
I agree with this and I figure if I am dumping a few thousand or more into my car, why not spend the extra $200-$300 and get everything I can out of it and have the security of knowing it isn't going to lean out and the the motor out......providing it's a reputable tuner of course.
