Check engine light=Tune?
Well,
I have just completed the following work on my 02 SS Camaro.
Fresh royal purple oil
mobile 1 oil filter
NGK spark plugs
moroso wires
k&n air filter
aluminum intake
free air mod
smooth bellow
tb coolant bypass
pacesetter headers
poly motor mounts
skip shift delete
air delete mod
Well first off I forgot to bake the header paint and burnt off the fresh paint lol
Secondly the I capped of the air on the passenger side but left the rear manifold T hopefully that doesn’t affect much a/c still works.
After 15 mins of driving I started hearing a high pitch whining sound but went away.
then the check engine light came on a couple mins after. All gauges looked fine
I just parked it and all seemed well
Maybe needs a Frost tune? Or any suggestions where to start 1st
Thank you

Yep went and got the code turns out it’s the o2 sensors. Didn’t see that’s the driver side o2 extension was touching the header and almost melted completely down to the wire.Today I had to baby it home bc the radiator sprung a leak temp kept jumping added water and a cap with pressure valve it was normal 210. I got a spare radiator I’m gonna slap in this weekend. As for the o2s I can have them tuned out right ?
Thanks for the help

If you have removed some of the AIR pipes, that will need to be tuned out too. Go ahead and block off the driver's side too. If you do not have a late model with the LS6 intake you need to block off the EGR also. And then put a vacuum cap on one of the tubes from that thing in the rear of the intake.
Look up AIR removal for your year. You can clear the check engine code with the average scan tool, but it will come back on after a few engine cycles, or a few days. It has to be tuned out, or ignored.
Many of the things that will trigger your check engine light are related to EPA pollution control. When you remove them the light needs to be tuned out.
