Default is there a noticeable diff with 91 octane as opposed to 93?

I just moved to montreal, from philly. they mostly have 91 here, then skip to 94. Am i see a bigger diff with 93-94, as opposed to 91 octane?

if your keeping the stock compression you will not not notice much difference from the 91, 93, 94. when tuned you will probably be able to run an extra degree of timing or two with the higher octain but nothing that will make a world of difference.

Nice #'s for those mods. But like jrp said, without tunning, it should not make a difference. But for a couple cents a gal, Why not use the 93. Unless it is not available, which I have noticed at some stations. No more Ultra 94 here.

you are lucky to find 91 up here (and only a couple of months ago I was filling up with 93 all the time and it was even cheaper than the 91 down the street)

If you look at the 93, it's probably got a little more alcohol than the 91 does; hence the cost difference.

Also, depending on altitude, 91 may be normal for Amarillo. (I dunno altitude there; just that in Albuquerque, 91 is equivalent to 93 since it's 5300+ft....)

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but if someone who's been putting lower grade gas for a looong time, is there a way to clean out the insides (sorry newbie question, I guess) or should we just go ahead and change everything, ie fuel filter, fuel injectors, etc.
