Default Donuts in wet

How bad is it to spin donuts in the wet on fairly smooth even pavement ? I usually dont tach over 4000 RPMS or hold it there for long at all normally about 3000... Is this realllly abusing my car ? Im on stock 10 bolt btw

Probably the only part you are "abusing" is the rear. I would imagine doing that would kill it eventually.

Not too much since traction is broken so easily.

it's fun, but i'd rather not find out how damaging it could be to my rear.

When I bought my Z the salesman said not to spin the tires past 60mph. He said the wheels would break off. I dunno if he is right or not it might be a bunch of BS.

i think mine have spun past that without my car going near that. salesmen do't know what they are talking about in my experience. wet=little wear, dry=wear on tires and rear suspension

The wear (besides on the tires), comes if the tires hook or begin to hook...That is where the wear comis into play. I did once break a motor mount when I wheel hopped a front drive car on wet pavement though.......DOH!

donuts in the wet is the safest time to beat on the car, because you don't have to use a lot of RPM to have fun...good times!

Donuts in the SNOW are a wonderful source of entertainment. No wear, no tear, unless you hit a hidden curb block. On the wet, you'll wear tires a bit.

wet won't wear anything really unless you are sitting there at high rpm's, wheel hop, or dump the clutch....you should be fine doing that whenever as long as it's wet...

10 bolt wear is unavoidable. However I doubt you'll have a problem under those conditions.

Only donuts i've done was on dry pavement sometimes banging the limiter while I have it pulled down into 2nd

well, its not that bad on the ps pump...just dont turn the wheel all the way until it stops. theres no need for that. and as for changing gears...you shouldnt have to if youre doing donuts...i keep it in first and just feather the gas..

I would like to see a tire rolling along after someone started spining in the rain, getting on the highway. If they come off they will go a long way. Next time it rains stay away from the ls1 on the on ramps.
