SLP MAF chip? WTF? You mean "SLP MAF"? If so, you are probably better off with the stocker.

JET performance chips? AFAIK there aren't any chips for the LS1......

The lid will add 7-10 rwhp over stock. So assuming the other "mods" don't mess it up, lol, assume 7-10rwhp more than stock. NOT worth posting a thread to ask what numbers a lid only car makes.

Jet performance does make a chip for the LS1, I had one about 2yrs ago. It plugs inbetween the wiring harness & the PCM. Their not worth a **** but they do make them.

I wouldn't have, but I had to comment on the "jet performance chip" and "SLP MAF chip".

Edit: ISOSS, I read the edited post. What do you mean when you say it has a PCM?

Start modding that thing for real now!

So then it's stock basically.
280-320rwhp

Towards the higher end if it's a M6. Never know 'til it's on the rollers.

I'd say that's a little on the low-end unit. I have yet to see a ls1 dyno 280rwhp, unless something was wrong with it. I'd say you should be looking around 300-330.

Aren't some of you guys being a little rediculous? I mean, this person is obviously new to the whole LS1 thing and this is how we greet him? I know there are ******** everywhere, especially behind the safety of their computer screens. But damn, show a little kindness every now and then. Trust me, it won't hurt you. What ever happened to kindly correcting a person when they're wrong?

The stock LS1 on horsepower TV dynod 280 if I remember correctly. Also a stock LS1 will dyno around 280 on a mustang dyno. I've seen many LS1's dyno on dynojets and 300rwhp seems to be the average for stock. Each car is differnt though. I dynod 304rwhp in a stock 99 TA and my buddy dynod 299.9rwhp in a stock 99 WS6. There is even varience between cars of the same model and the same year.

there are stickeys, write ups, and TONS of previouse posts (just a search away) that cover the whole "estimate my hp" stuff...

the real answer is ALWAYS the same...
no one knows till they hit the rollers...
if you want to know what your hp is, hit the dyno. you want to know how fast your car is , hit the track.

and i'm an even bigger ******* in person

If this kind of stuff bothers you, then why hang out in the newbie forum? I'm not the most knowledgable about LS1's, but I will try to help out everyone. Even if they repost the same things over and over again.

I hang out in alot of forums... more questions are asked here so i post more here...
besides sometimes newbies come up with some of the strangest troubles(ie,one guy was bogging off the line on nittos even when he sidesteped the clutch at 6500 rmps!that was a fun one.)

I'm not the most knowledgable about LS1's, but I will try to help out everyone. Even if they repost the same things over and over again.
so are you trying to win a brownie button, or do you just like having this section clogged with the same questions over and over so some of the legit problems get missed

If a person has a problem, or question, and they have read all the stickeys, and exhasted the seach button then i and most anyone on this board, will bend over backwards to help. i have spent several days researching just one problem before...
but if the person is unwilling to take 20 mins to see if they can find the answer themselves in the VAST covered subjects already here, then why should I, or anyone do the footwork for them?
i post colorful answers to bad questions because it got boring repeating the same USE THE FUKING SEARCH BUTTON!!!! post....

have a nice day
