backfire Ok im having a problem when starting the car it gives a small backfire sometimes. When i drive down the road and left off the gas alittle it does the same thing. I have a 98 SS borla exhaust,manual,slp lid,MAF and pully. Buddy told me it might be too much fuel goin in. Im ready to take it to the dealer and see what they have to say but i thought i ask on here first. Anybody have any idea what could cause this problem?

Mine does the same thing, it's normal, especially when the engine isn't @ operating temp, it does it when it's stock, just with putting the Borla on you hear it more, sounds even worse with a Rumbler (think straight pipe)
BTW You might want to change that MAF back to stock, from what I've read on here, it can contribute to some fuel mixture problems (especially with an auto trans)

yeah, I get the backfire too, but only when it is cold. I like that sound when it comes out of my cutout. it sounds nice and ragged if revved when cool (with a little backfiring), but then just sounds nice and deep once warmed up
