*cough* *cough* well thanks guys , but what is it hahah, i did read that it was 346 CI, but that was on a Trans AM Ls1, could it be that the camaro's are slightly diff, i mean i wouldnt think so...but you know how GM is...

Yeah, gm just decided to call em 350's for marketing purposes. Everyone's heard of the awesomeness, power and reliability of a chevy 350! But if they called it a 346 it would sound weaker and wouldn't be familiar to people who owned cars with a 350 in em before. Regardless, we still have the most efficent, and most powerful ~350 cubic inch engine chevy ever put in a sports car, other than special engines like ls6 and lt4. Be PROUD to have an LS1

It's not a stupid question at all. It's actually a very astute one. If you were to go by the manual that CAME with your car, it says 350. However, if you do the displacement calculation using bore and stroke, it comes out to approximately 346 (345.7 or so). So you'll still hear the unninitiated calling it a 350, but it is truly a 346.
