Who Makes The Best One?

 

Lid is a lid, I wouldnt consider one to make much if any more power than another.

I have SLP, fitment is perfect, however alot of people dont like SLP products, price, or fitment of their lid. I havent had a single problem though.

I have a whisper lid. It's not bad, worth the purchase.

 

Clear MTI lid love it shaved .2 of my 1/4!

 

Wonder if Whisper is better than SLP

Like Zymosis said, a lid is a lid. GMHTP did a test on a bunch of lids a year or so ago, and they all came up pretty close together hp-wise. They tested fit, finish, etc., and there were differences there, but no lid excelled over the others by more than a couple of hp. I'd just buy the one that visually pleases you the most.

 

I want to get the clear MTI lid as well. What bellow do you use with the MTI lid?

Buy the one that you can get cheapest or the one that you think looks the best. They're all basically the same damn thing and one doesn't really give any gain too much over another. I have SLP and haven't had a problem with it on either of my LS1s.

 

a lid is a lid, I got mine from a forum member for 40$ and I could tell the difference right away, I got on the highway and did a few 3rd gear pull>>.... worth the money

really doesnt matter which one you get, they will all net you about the same HP increase. I choose the MTI clear lid for its looks.

 

SLP, I think it has the best fit & finish.
