that is actually an amazing price for this area on a car like that...trust me I know how hard it is to find really nice, low mile LT1 and LS1 cars in the dakotas, MN, WI area. I have owned both an LT1 and an LS1 and it took me a long time to find them...both being 500 miles away from MN. Id say you should get it.

oh and as far as experiences with LT1 cars, mine was great..never had any problems. They do have that Opti Spark on them which is known to go bad on those cars...it never went bad on me, but the guy who bought it from me says it might be going bad at 72k miles...so I say you have a while before you have to worry about that. the car you are looking at...Newer tires are a plus..those can be spendy, its a 35th aniv. car with leather, that is a plus and it has really low miles. Obviously the LS1 is overally better in most ways then the LT1, but it has to be being it is newer and replaced the LT1...that doesnt mean those LT1 cars are not great though. I wouldnt mind having another LT1 car right beside my LS1.

seems like a pretty good deal...unless you are stuck on getting an ls1.

I'd run a carfax if I were you and look for any signs that it might not really be that low of actual miles.

I would wait and get what you really what-an LS1. If you have waited this long, might as well as wait and get what you have been waitn for and not settle on something else. A nice LS1 will come around soon, just wait

Get it. Have fun. Sell it for a profit/little loss when you find a nice clean ls1. Just don't mod it. Two reasons, lowers resale value and you waste money that can go towards the ls1.

I think with a little more money you could get the LS1 and have exactly what you want. Keep saving. Most is just add ons to make more attractive anyway, you can put your own choice of add ons on your own LS1 you find that you are happy with. I am sure there is one in this forum for sale for a good price. Hold out and you will be pimpin'!

Thats exactly what I was thinking. And like the guy from MN said it is really hard to find good clean F-cars in this area. So that might be another reason why I am really considering this one.

I would probably wait it out, but thats just me. Unless your not dead set on an LS1, then get it. I like LT1 Z's alot, and like it was stated above, the LT1 is still an amazing motor, you wont be disappointed, although you may wonder about the LS1, alot.

I'm sayin' if you'd rather have the LS1, hold out for it because you're likely to be just as disappointed (well almost) with a nice LT1 as you would be with a s h i t t y ford because it still won't be an LS1 even if it is an f body. What I mean is..... Buy an LS1
