Default LS1 a gas eater?

My trip to LA

on the way to LA...

on the way home...

...with 4 people in the car and the little trunk was full of crap. Not bad. I would of gotten better if I ditched the 3 passangers and didint go up a freakin mountain.

I babied it. Plus it was all highway miles. I went like 75mph the entire way. The entire trip was 300miles. It wasted a little less then 3/4 of a tank.

you guys with the 2.73 will see alot better Gas mileage. and the 6 speeds have a huge advantage over us autos.

3.23 A4 here in horrible stop/go traffic and almost no highway driving. I get about 200 miles to a tank and just under 13 mpg.

but hey, you only live once.

Yep, almost makes me want to get a manual. Actually, it does. Is a manual with 4.11's going to be about the same on gas as an auto with say 3.73?

Wow, I dont feel so bad then, I get about 230 to a tank (I consider a tank 13 gal. since thats what i usually end up putting in and avg it off of that), mostly city driving, some highway with the mods below and 136k on the clock.

Ave. 20 mpg city. Double overdrive in 6th gear is excellent for highway use.

believe me. 6th gear going 75 is like 1500rpms. The engine is doing nothing but dreaming about smoking hondas.

But you know we are gonna punch it and run from the cops
