That is a very very clean car. If you plan on modding go with an automatic. Stick is fine if you are just going to drive it around.

Blue book in my area is 13,900 in excellent condition. Pretty much fully loaded, without WS6 option. In good condition it is about 13,100. I would offer him 13,500 as it looks clean.

I would say yes, given that it is in good condition, both inside and out, it drives and feels good, and the ride is smooth. Drive it first and if you like it I'd say yes.

14k seems about right. Maybe a bit high. But it looks like its in really good condition. Leather is really nice. Too bad he's not willing to take 13 cause if he went that low it would be a no brainer.

I paid 14,100 for my 2000 Trans Am with 44K miles in Feb. 2005. Sounds like a good deal to me. Hurst shifter, chrome rims, and bucket seats with lumbar. Looks like this one has all that. I give this TA a

IMHO.....That's to high. It's a 00 T/A, not a Ram Air. I would offer him 11.5 at most.

l offered him 13k and l dont think he will accept.. well, many people said that price is kinda high.. if he says no, then l will keep looking but it looks like nobody cares about KBB.com, they got their own price.. this car looks clean, l hope we will have a deal.

I disagree with the above. The stick is just as fun to mod as the auto maybe more so. Rears tend to be the weak link in 4th gen fbody's. If you go stick you need to dump the stock/Hurst shifter in favor of a good aftermarket shifter like the Pro5.0 or B&M.

The auto is more consistant at the track and for a daily driver I'd probably go with an auto if you are in a lot of stop-and-go traffic but the stick is way more fun to drive around town IMO.

I think 14k is a bit too high for a 2000 non WS6 but if you like the car and want it, go for it! Mileage is low enough. You would not be getting ripped off at 14k but there are probably better deals around. Then again a lot depends on where you live.

um, that's not a bad price. i bought a 2001 formula with 25k for $14,500 ($10,650 after trade) but i got one of the best deals out there (extra $1,100 over trade value for my car, Z06 rims, SLP intake/exhaust package). if you like the car, go for it. if you can sit back and say "i can drive this car every day for the next couple years and be happy as a pig in ****", go for it. that's why i spent all my money - the only cars i truly like are firebirds and if they still made them, that's all i'd ever own. ask yourself if it's the perfect car. if it is, don't let it slip away over a lousy grand! hold off on the first mod or two if you need to.

as for not having a WS6 hood, that is a STUPID reason to not get the car. they can be had, painted and put on your car for a grand. honestly, i think it's dumb to get a WS6. you pay thousands extra for a better exhaust package, for ram air and for a hood. in the end, you replace the ram air for an FTRA or SSRA and rip off the exhaust for TD's or a catback. you just spent 5k for a HOOD - that's what a WS6 amounts to. do the smart thing like i did. get an undervalued formula and just plan to add the hood in the future like i will.

I am in agreement with most of the above. That is why I went Z28 over SS BUT the SS/WS6 does command a greater resale value when it's time to sell. That is a fact. May not be important to you but it is a consideration. I'm not sure why though since they not rare as they made nearly as many SS's in 02 as they did Z28's

That is a reasonable deal. In general, Around here (Seattle) that car would sell for 16,000 easy...My buddy just bought a white 99 auto Trans AM (loaded) with 48,000 miles on it for 14,800. These car normally sell right at or just above blue book. I bought my 00 WS6 last July with 19,000 miles on it for 17,500. So I think 14,000 is reasonable.
Kelly Blue is not accurate when it comes to certain cars like sports cars. Look at NADA. They are more accurate when it comes to Niche vehicles, not stuff like your run of the mill Camary, Impala or Accord.

Nada put the value of the car for trade in 13,650. Average RETAIL (off a dealer lot) is 15,925. in the seattle area.
Kelly Blue book for the same zip code PRIVATE PARTY is 13,670.
RETAIL would be 16,000 here in the Seattle are.
So I don't think you would be doing bad if you bought a fully loaded car with 34000 miles on it for 14000 dollars.
The mileage is what brings the price up.

Yeah, that's a totally reasonable price. If you feel like you got ripped off down the road just drive up to the Northeast (Long Island, CT, Boston) get $17k back for it and get a cheaper one that's half as clean.
