Can anyone help me?
My car is and has, Look at Sign. The car has blowed out two new alternators
Within weeks, but it only happens after I hot-rod it,
I was thinking too much horsepower for stock alternator, too low amps
Maybe
Any explanation.
Please let me know
Thanks

Where are you buying the alternators from? Cheap rebuilds (like AutoZone) usually don't last. Sometimes you'll burn out one right after another. I've seen that happen to both myself and others.
These days, I get my new/rebuilt alternators directly from GM. Never had another problem.

Dude, I had this exact same problem, come to find out that the power steering main seal was bad and leaking PS fluid into my alternator. Might or might not be your issue, just something else to check.

You said you had a new battery, did you put that new battery on before changing alternator? Running a new alternator on a battery with low charge can fry it in a heartbeat. Before changing your alternator, make sure your battery is fully charged.
