Hmmm... I'll say (M6) about 350rwhp. 340rwhp for sure. I hit 330rwhp back in 1999 with headers, hi flow cats, catback, and some other stuff. That did not include tuning, plus !cats and plus LS6 intake is worth some power too. I started at 288rwhp FWIW and had a LS1 intake (1998)

Gosh I wish I had Dynoed my ride when I got it new to have a baseline. What ET times could I be looking at with 350 rwhp?

My good friend Jason, I think he's TX02SS on the board or something like that, laid down 355 RWHP with Borla, gutted cats, lid+filter, FRA, and ported TB.
That is in a '02 SS M6 with 6k miles on the clock.
A couple weeks later he got the Z06 cam and springs in and ran back to the dyno for 385 RWHP. This is with stock exhaust manifolds and you can't even hear the cam. Pretty cool.
I know that's no longer stock internals, but wanted to give the whole story.

I pulled 359 RWHP on MTI's dyno internally stock. If the car were an M6 then it would have been higher. It was also done with heavyass 315/35/17s. I think 375 RWHP is possible (though not easy!) with an M6.

362.5hp and 372.7ft-lb of torque and I still need to add an underdrive pulley. This is an 02 M6 by the way.

338rwhp, 352rwtq with bolt on mods (see below) and stock internals. Dynod May 2003 @ MTI. Jason there said I was right where it should be with the mods done. The next step would be heads and cam.

That's what I thought around 350 or so rwhp. Add a 75 or 100 shot NOS and I'm in Heaven
I'm guetting there surely but not slowly

Full bolt-ons and a 150hp wet-shot should get you to 500rwhp. Don't know how long the engine would last, but it has been done by many people. Without the spray, I've seen people listing bolt-on cars in the 360+rwhp range.

i see u got gears, but didn't get a TC... ur leaving a half second on the table there in the 1/4 mile... but if ur just dyno racing, by having an auto, u lost already to the manuals...

I didn't get a TC YET or (NOS). It is well known that A4's get better ET's VS manuals with equal mods. As someone quoted before:
"M6 look like they are quick, A4 ARE quick"
VS
"M6 look like they are quick, A4 ARE quick"

I have been pulling 400+ Actual rwhp out of mine on the juice now for over 6 months with absulutly no bottom end issues. The factory LS6 is rated for 405hp. From what I understand the LS6 and LS1 uses the same cranks and rods for the 01 and 02 cars. So I do not see any problem with you making 400 hp and turning up to 6700 rpm (which I think is what the LS6 rev limit is set at from the factory). your short block should be very stought to begin with. These engines have probly the best bottom end that GM ever put in a production engine. Good luck and don't be scared of it.

I agree with u on the bottom end parts, however the LS1's are not journal drilled for better oil lube on the crank. Compression is also 1/2 point less on Ls1 and heads on Ls6 flow better and have better valvetrains.
TC is my next mod but I'm still debating on which, in order not to overkill and be loose. I drive mine daily.
First i want to take it at the track to test where I am (officialy). I got ET's but haven't tried them yet (Just guetting ready fo fall). Goal is low 12's and mid to low 11's with NOS.
I hope ur not reving till 6700 with urs
. If I were u I'd stay under 6500 especialy with spray. I do 3-5-9 with Rev limit at 6500 but only for track. Street I stick to 3-3-6 Rev limit at 6300. ![Burnout](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_burnout.gif)
Oh and I'm talking RWHP too.

Yes, I do have my revlimit set at 6500. I had the car dynoed and it quits making power around 5600 and stays flat to 5800 so I shift at 6000 and it finishes the shift at about 6200. I was bumping the stock rev limit setting so I brought it up to 6500 and I quit hitting it. I do love these engines and there design. GM had there sh*t together when they did this one.

Of course you can. However with no internal mods you would have to stay below 5psi boost to be on safe side. Otherwise some head valvetrain mods needed (7psi) and some tuning to avoid detonation at any cost. Ported heads a plus.
