Default M6 or A4???

so i am looking at buying a f-body but here is the kicker i have. so what should i buy the M6 or A4. i know this question has been asked a million times but this is what the car will be used for so answer to best suite this question. i wan't to build a 11 sec car but it will only see maybe 5-8 track passes a year. mostly drive around town and have alot of idiot kids that race from stop lights so i want to win. also i want to take short trips with it. thx!

Definately the M6. Yes the auto will be more consistant at the track but who cares. You will also have a lot more fun on the streets with the manual and have more control over what rpm you want at what speeds and they are just straight up funner on the streets. I've got over 400rwhp and get 28mpg highway with mine. You will also get a lot of responses from people that have owned only the auto or manual and of course they will tell you that whatever they have is the way to go which is obviously homo so only listen to the ones that have the f-body experience in both. Owned an A4, sold it, bought the M6, will never go back. Period.

Well I live in Houston so I may be a little bias. We have allot of traffic here and while I don't disagree that the M6 is fun it can also become a chore. So consider where and how much you will be driving the car. Plus I hate losing to a ricer just because I missed a shift

well i agree with both of you guys, i am a auto guy, but its fun to drive a m6 every now and then...i say the best thing to do is test drive both and get a feel for it, see what you like the best, and then you have you can pick it yourself!!

It sucks having an A4 on a semi-open laned expressway going 75 mph at 2500 rpm Plus i had a P.O.S car that was an M5 and even shifting from 3rd to 4th in THAT thing was fun/bad ***. But I live in chicago so i said A4 ALL THE WAY!!

maybe one of each? lol....having driven both m6 and a stalled a4 I honestly liked the a4 better....and for anyone that says all you have to do to launch a stalled a4 is mash the gas has never done it..mash the gas and you will watch as you just spin. But get whichever you like the best because in the end it is your car ... not ours....just have fun and be safe

i have had two of both. if your on a budget go for the a4 cars, they are cheaper and usually more reliable and easy to find. if you have 10k to spend get an m6 car thats been well taken care of and has minimal perfomance adders. the more mods a car has the more issues its going to have

From a dig you can't beat a stalled auto whether it's at a stop light or at a track. I see way too many M6 guys at my local track trapping 114-118 and still run 12's. Just because a car has the power to make an 11 second pass doesn't mean the driver can get it there.

Stalled auto with sticky tires on the other hand

Im not much of a street racer (if someone messes with me when im driving i will, but i dont go looking for it) and i will never take my car to the strip. I drive a m5 carolla daily and i like the fact that i can jump in my camaro and not have to worry about clutches, and shifting.

it depends on personal preference and where you are going to be driving it, and how.

Nope, no more of these threads.

There is nothing new to discuss here. This will become nothing more than a pointless war to which there is no end, just like every other A4 vs. M6 thread.

Please try a search.

Oh, also remember that opinions are like ********. In the end, only YOU can really decide which you like better. Drive both, make a decesion.
