I have seen discrepancies of as much as 20-30 psi from a stock "working" gauge to a mechanical gauge while watching them both from the driver's seat. Food for thought.....there is always a possibility you may be chasing a ghost.

I've had 2 new OPS on it and they read exactly the same. I'll trust those for now. Perhaps before I'd pull the motor, I'd try the mechanical gauge.

How closely did these psi problems follow the pan swap? Immediately after or did it take a while? It could be a coincidence or it could be a major clue.

They 'seemed' to be better. But havent really drove it much. I just monitor oil level like a hawk. Seems a lot of the fi guys on the forum think that after a certain level of boost, it better to just go to a vented can setup and vent it to atmosphere. I think thats what i am about to do

I'm vented. I just ran a hose from each valve cover to the inner fender to avoid the smell. No issues or oil consumption yet. I'm gonna mount a couple vented cans when I get the chance.

^ That's Arun. Not pertaining to me, though. That issue doesn't seem relevant to mine. Mine doesn't fall off under load....Its just low and doesn't increase with RPM like it should.

I took my friend went there not too long ago to get his STI aligned after we accidentally did some rally, the guys inside were real cool. Guess i'll go there instead of that damn firestone on base.

I got a fitting from bearing service and screwed it into the PCV hole in the back of the driver's side valve cover. Then, I drilled and tapped the passenger side valve cover and T'd those lines together into a breather can. I capped the 2 passenger side factor breather holes.
