Can you use a Nano 15# kit to push a smaller 10lb n2o bottle or does it strictly have to be used with a 15lb n2o bottle? It my understanding it should work just fine except you'd essentially be wasting the extra air in the nano bottle
The 3000psi system you can use on 10# or 15# systems. The 4500psi system is strict 10 to 15# bottles. The have to be matched.
just got mine bottle is at 2500psi (3k kit). Should i fill it the extra 500 or will i be fine (bottle opened up while turning into a parking lot...didnt have it strapped down). Also does it matter if you open up the nano then the nitrous bottle or should the nitrous bottle be opened then the nano? Not sure if it matters or not
I would have it filled to 3000psi. Normally they will fill it to 3200psi so that when it cools it will be at 3000psi. Let me know if you need help finding a source to fill it for you.

i filled it back to 3000 before I used it. Question, I got scared today and pulled the bottle after 7 runs figured I was damn close and didnt want to risk it in the semi's. Anyways now lets say you have 2 lbs of nitrous back should the nitrous bottle be completely emptied then refilled since there is nitrogen in it also?
Quick question. I have heard people talk about the 3000psi kit and the 4500psi kit. how can you tell the difference?
It is engraved on the side of the regulator at the top of the bottle. From what I can tell, you need the 4500psi kit if you're spraying over a 250 shot.
Depending on the shot and length of run you will see performance down to the last 1/2 pound.
doesn't the pick up tube have to be all the way down to be able to use all but the last .5lbs?, on my bottle the tube is about 1.5" -+ .5. so i end up with about 3lbs left. which is usually when the car starts going rich.

This is correct, you will not be able to use your home air compresser to fill up to 3k psi, it just wont happen, if you are planning on using 2+ nitrous bottle in a day and need to refill your NANO bottle you will need 2+ SCUBA tanks on hand so you can waterfall fill (start with one SCUBA and move to the next untill you are topped off) untill you are at 3k psi, if you are filling to 4.5k you need a different fill tank.

Paintbal started using HPA (High Pressure Air) a long time ago, most shops will fill HPA

Correct, CO2 typically runs at 750-850 psi (obviously too low) depending on bottle temp and OAT. And by the way most people working at paintball shops are used to every kid coming in asking for "nitro" fills, even though most places fill with just compressed air, unless you know what to look for and check the fill tank you are probably getting compressed air instead of nitrogen enriched, even if they tell you otherwise, they just dont know any better, and the shop owners aren't gonna waste money on "Nitro"

BTW, when using this system, you have to keep track of your nitrous consumption very carefully. You can't judge how much nitrous you have based on your nitrous pressure gauge.
You have to count passes per bottle, or weight of bottle.
The person filling you bottle either used crappy equipment, was new, or was lazy, if they fill slow, this wont happen. Or if you watch someone fill a SCUBA tank they typically put it in a bucket of water to absorb the heat.
EVERYONE MAKE SURE YOUR NANO BOTTLE IS AT ROOM TEMP BEFORE LEAVING THE FILL SHOP OR ELSE YOU WILL LOSE PRESSURE!!!
if they fill it fast it will heat up, and when it cools it WILL lose pressure, that is physics

as we discussed on the other site, in order to do a partial fill you can turn the n2o bottle upside down and open the valve, the air will bleed out first then you will know when you start hitting the nitrous.

Yeah i'd agree with that as well, the compressed air is pushing the liquid down so once it gets under the tube it wont be able to pick up any more, but how much depends on the siphon tube used, and the angle of the bottle mounting
i have a 15# bottle and the valve is an nx brand. if my syphon tubes is extended closer to the bottom you run the risk of sucking up debris, is it true or not? i don't mind leaving 3lbs. behind. one more ?, is there a difference in the function of the nano when filling with nitrogen or compressed air?
So...I'm new to this....with the Nano setup... my 100 shot will be the same from start to end of the run? Meaning I could probably squeeze in a tenth or 2 to my ET?
i really like what i see here. been doing alot of reading on nano and had no idea. im thinking i may want to go this route and add to my 200 shot
but one thing i dont understand is why a small piggy back bottle, and a tiny line cost the same as my entire plate kit. (no trying to dog at all. just curious if i missed something)
