Put the 200 jets in it, 72 36 with the ngk 8s in it with a total of 16 degrees in it. Picked up 2 tenths and 3 mph and went...

1.36
6.20 @ 111mph
9.78 @ 140 mph

Nothing changed, still 3400 lbs still stock heads still stock bottom end and this FTI converter keeps shining.

Thanks to Harris Speed Works for all the help and hard work, they are the best in the business. Also thanks to FTI, my tuner Mark Romans and everybody else that has helped along the way. I want the cold weather to come back!

What gear are you running in the rear? Also do you have a stand alone fuel cell for your N2O setup?

3.89 in the rear, no standalone we run 100 octane out of the main tank, we will be upping the octane next time out to be on the safe side.

The next build we will build our own standalone low pressure system, just not needed in our eyes right now.

Cool. I am running a 26" tire with 3.73s in my car I run 11.19 @ 120.8 in the 1/4 but on the N2O I am only getting a 10.70@126 on a 100 shot. I am trying to figure out why my car is surging on the topend of the track. I am at the point where my car wants to shift to 4th(4l60e) at the end of the track. I am running a SS4000 Yank converter and with the N2O I feel it is kind of too loose. Here is a vid where I wheel hoped and messed up my Tru Trac, I was running the 150 hp shot on this one and ran slower and the same mph as the 100 shot. I got a spool now and a drag bar I just need to figure out why I have a little surge at the end of the track. If you listen in the vid you can hear it near the end of the track.

Your car is just bad a$$ I wish I could do with my H/C/I what you have done cam only. Keep up the good work.

It is blowing through the converter based on that video. Bad! Also it may be surging because the nitrous is turning off and on based on your window switch settings. good luck.

Thanks man!

Haha for the last couple days it has been, for about the past month it has been gloomy and rainy, finally spring is coming!

BTW figured out why it left to the left, we remembered the only non adjustable suspension piece on the car are the lcas, and when we had it scaled we were off by an 1/8 of inch, so when it wheelstood and only had the rear tires steering it thats why it went left. Nice easy fix.

If he's blowing through the converter with the SS 4000, then what size is your FTI?

And how do you avoid this?

my converter stalls to 4000 on the brake, but they are many things to a converter then just the stall and many people dont understand this. You can build a 5500 converter that will work well on the bottle, it is how it locks up and is efficient down track. When I talked to greg at FTI we didnt talk once about stall speed, I tell him the setup and we make it work around the power the car will make and other special things. I send him logs to make sure the converter is still working how he wants it and we go from there.

to avoid this, you want to contact a converter builder and have them build you the best converter for what you want to do.

^ Yours doesn't exactly lock up though.

Congrats on the new best. I think if you took some weight out you could take Jugger's old record.

That thing runs amazing for stock heads and weight. Amazing what you can do spraying out the hole.

Correct it doesn't lock up but it's a way of explaining it. But thank you I think we cab as well. We are planning to take around 200 PBS out of it when we do the cage so hopefully that will help.

I can't tell you for sure. But we were off on on na times just about the same as our nitrous times. The air was lacking oxygen so even though we are creating more oxygen in the motor it still has less because of the da. I donno if that makes sense as at all. But im going with it. Haha.

That video sounds like nitrous is turning on and off. Had it happen to me first time out with n2o. My car shifts at 5700 on motor and with any pill less than 6400 in the window switch it will turn off.

Better DA can help alot. We dropped .1.5-.2 in the 1/8 from 90* to 65* from 5.5X -5.3X same nitrous jets. The heat can do alot to the tune not just because of intake airt temp. Not everyone will see these gains but this was from a pretty good tune on 2 different race days with the same nitrous jet . the car just excepted more fuel and more timming in the colder weather. Fuel + timming =hp..... well until it detonates LOL.

Does it normally leave pretty straight? looks like it drove a little right with the wheels up. we had that happen once with a few weight reductions~20lbs and the rear had moved a little to the right with the car sitting up a little in the back. the Panhard bar being adjusted to perfectly center the rear is a huge deal in getting these cars to hook on a crappy track. any side move ment can cause it to break loose.

car looked good and the exhaust looked pretty clean( tells alot about the tune) I only saw 2 small puffs. car is making good power with that mph.
