Default VA Speeds nitrous/440 tall deck c5 corvette

Just wanted to post a few pics of our wilson billet bank intake manifold with wilsons pro flow direct port nitrous set up. Thanks to Mike at Wilson for making this happen. It's new home will be on top of a VA Speed 440 ci Tall deck. Going in a 1999 c5 corvette, six speed

Va Speed forced induction/nitrous tall deck block.Block features a 3/4" thick
deck,heavy wall 4.125 diameter,6.00" long ductile iron sleeves,billet main caps,and a 9.400 deck height
Lunati 4.125 pro series crank
Oliver billet rods
Custom JE pistons
Total seal stainless rings
Coated Clevite bearings
Custom solid roller cam
Crower solid roller lifters
Performance Inductions LS7 heads
Manley springs
Jesel shaft rockers
Wilson Billet bank intake

RPM TR6060 transmission and z06 diff

Our plan is to see how deep into the 8.xxx we can take it . The last combo was a 402 with .28 jets and we went 9.25 @ 155 the addl power from the 440 should help us get our number. Thanks to Virginia Speed, RPM Transmissions and Wilson/Nitrous Prow Flow for all of your support. Mark

Good to see you onboard with the program. Are you going to the meeting on the 6th? I'm meeting up with shawn that afternoon if you want to meet and throw back a few cold ones.

That is pretty. That kind of power is going to put a hurt'n on the diff and tranny/clutch. I hope RPM's stuff is up for the task. They build some bad *** products.

Interesting. I am going to guess that it is a deck spacer type setup with an OEM block or is it all one solid tall deck / TIGged and heat treated spacer?

^ I noticed that thread magically dissapeared unlike the street warrior thread which is still going to this day. Maybe that means we may actually see something out of it?

Is the block a tigged / heat treated or a deck spacer setup with a gasket?

No 275 races for us. This is still a street car with a manual transmission. Another year I bet it will have an auto in it,loose some weight, and turn up the hit. Then we can come play with you BIG boys. Mark

Wayne, while this thing has some great parts in it,it wouldn't hold a candle to that hammer you guys are building. No sense in taking a knife to a gun fight.

def not a spacer with a gasket.

I will tell you a couple details.

9.400 deck height with 6'' long sleeves. This allows for a 4.125 stroke while maintaining a nice piston height.Could also be used at a 9.365 deck height, this will allow you to put in a 4.250 stroke and use an off the shelf 1.115 piston. The benefit of this deck height is that custom headers are not really needed like the real tall deck block require.
3/4'' deck thickness for maximum sleeve stability
extra thick 4.125 ductile iron sleeves
6 bolt head pattern
1/2'' head studs
billet pinned main caps
oiling system modifications

Does all of that require 2 first borns or just 1?

intake looks dead sexy!

Like I said the block sounds real cool, another great choice for alot of people.
I'm not looking forward to making headers work and all the other stuff we have to figure out with this tall deck.
