Default LS3 Vette HSW plate fitment issues

The HSW is a very thick plate, and the problem is, my TB connector will not snap in because the tensioner is in the way. If I flip the TB around, the power steering reservoir is in the way. There is absolutely no way I can fit it there. I have ran a NOS plate, but it is about 1/3 of the size in thickness of the HSW plate and I just barely had enough clearance from the tensioner.

Does anyone else run into this problem, or do they have a picture of a LS2/LS7 vette engine bay shot I can look at? I saw another LS2 and the tensioner was lower than mine was, so the clearance wasn't an issue.

I did, I was more curious in seeing the engine bay shots for future reference rather than getting the issue resolved.

I spoke with Vortech and they had said for 2009 LS3 they swapped the water pump inlet around.. not sure if that had any other effect on the other accessories.

I did the HSW plate also but on the LS1. It is thick & I was just able to stretch my TPS wire harness out enough for it to snap in place. Its at its limit now. I wish there was an extension harness. But yea your config. is different. I'd like to see what can be done as that is a concern.

Here's a pic of what I'm referring to.

Notice the connector will hit the tensioner if it was spaced forward, i.e. a plate.

If I was to flip the TB, the power steering reservoir would be in the way.

I called them and they are issuing me a refund. I think all the signs lead to me staying with the nozzle, haha.

I will try the nitrous outlet one next.

The nitrous outlet plate is 1/4" thinner and I think the NOS plate is 1/2" thinner. The HSW plate is VERY thick.

I have to assume that a pwr steering resevoir spacer kit dosn't work in your situation. It looks like there isn't enough room.
