Can NOS be ramped in in 1st gear
hi
i´m new in nitrous
i am wondering, i´m gona purchase NOS system for next summer , and searching
i´m running vette C5 402ci MN6 3.42 - stock tranny and diff - spec 3 + clutch
i´m now cutting 1.6-1.7 on the track NA power and always a bit of spinning on et streets dot slicks 16inch going out of the hole at 4000-4700rpms
i would want to use the long 1st gear (55mph) well but i know if i go out off the hole on NOS i would spinne the tires much more and more likely not get better 60ft maby worse
so can the nos be ramped in, like in 50% in 1st gear and then 100% in 2nd, 3rd and 4th ?
for example i coud then go out on a lower rpm and still have a lot of power ad traction
what programmer should i looke at whith the nos system , my friend has windows switch and i dont think he can do this operation
thanks

Yes, it can be completely controled.
It can be delayed and come on a certain time or rpm. You can lock it out in first gear if you need to. You can controll it progressively from 0% off the line to 100% how ever far into the run you want. There are many controllers and I have used none of them so I will let others recommend what controller they like.

-Laptop programmed (no dials or chips to go bad)
-TPS Voltage either rise or fall
-RPM window switch w/built in multiplier (works with any vehicle)
-Stage One Activation
-Stage 2 Activation
-Trans-brake input (No nitrous activation while applying a trans-brake)
-Low and High rpm window set points
-On or Off during the preset window
-Water tight epoxy construction
-With the solenoid driver(s) you can do the following; Stage One/two Ramp time, Turn on RPM Turn off RPM, Solenoid Frequency Adjustability

I have the FJO and love it. It has a first gear lockout feature and a progressive ramp rate. For the track you can lock out 1st and ramp up for the other gears to assist with traction.
If riding around looking for a rolling race, turn the first gear lockout feature off -- otherwise if you start pulling in 3rd you don't get spray until you shift into the band of 4th.
