Harris plate-anyone running >150?
Been running a single NOS wet nozzle in the bellows and just purchased a used 78mm Harris plate conversion. My jet sizes for the nozzle were 63/32. The Harris jet chart stops at 62/35 for 150 shot. I called them up and asked for some recommendations on jets for a larger shot and they said the plate wouldn't support more than 150. Seems hard to believe to me. I've got 73/38 and 67/35 pills on the way but was just wondering if anyone has had any success running larger pills? Any knowledge, experience, and input is appreciatied, gonna try to make it to LSFest with the car this year for True Street.
BTW, I've got HPTuners and a wideband so choosing the correct fuel pills are no problem.

I asked the same question about a week ago. I have a 90mm HSW plate and its suppose to only go to 150hp. I did try a 67 jet and ran a 35 fuel and it was still rich with my setup. It did pick up power over running a 62/33 but seems like I was also having a lean spike on holeshot.
I think its at the edge of what it can flow and since they only recommend 150hp, I'm ordering a Nitrous Outlet plate so I can safely move up in hp.
I mean if they only recommend 150hp, I'm just going to take their advice, because I really don't know whats happening inside the plate/ intake when its being pushed at higher hp levels.

A plate that only sprays 150? Most people swap to a plate so that they can spray 200+, this one can't break 150? Kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it?
Funny thing is Harris doesn't mention this limitation on their site, the customer is probably left to discover this after he's already made the purchase. Its cases like these that lead most people to buy from nitrous outlet instead.
To the OP: You probably should do like ronn, get a plate conversion setup from nitrous outlet. They sell plates separately for people like you looking to convert and you have the option of choosing between single and two stage plates. Good luck finding a solution.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm ballin' on a budget and got a good deal on the plate with the full intention of running a 200 shot. Guess it wasn't such a good deal after all. Nonetheless, I think I'll start off where I was at with the nozzle and work my way up. If it works, it works. If not, I'll unload it on someone who has more conservative goals and go with a better plate.

there was a thread out there a while back that nitrous outlet put out regarding how you can spray 200 shot through the front of an intake with one of their plates... i haven't followed up on it, but there should be some pictures of how the plugs look after doing such a thing.
here it is... https://ls1tech.com/forums/nitrous-o...st-design.html

Just found an old thread on this subject and this is what Nick from HSW says: "Feed lines and plates are different between the two." So I'll play it safe and assume that I have the sudden impact plate until I can contact the seller for some more info.

Glad I saw this because I want to spray my LSX 454 with a 150-200 shot maybe even get that new 102 dual stage plate but if it can't support more than 150 that's no bueno. If you can run big power threw the one why even sell the other. Does the sudden impact offer quicker response or more reliable power for under 150?

HSW advised me that there is no way to distinguish the 2 apart, although the post from above, I have no way to determine if that is true. My advice, if you have smaller noids, doubt it will take anymore than 150, but I put bigger noids behind it, and gonna see if I get any gains off the dyno. Test and tune

I don't believe the plate itself is diferent. I believe the kits are. Hsw told me there was no way to tell them apart also. Well if this was true when they came in from the machinist how do they know wich kit to put the respective plate into.??

Before I brought my HSW plate I sent a email asking if I should know anything about the plate as far as what jets to use if it was ez to install and prob sone other dumb questions.. But never got a reply.. They could have said that the maximum HP was 150..
