Good beginner kit would be an NOS #5177. Easy to install and with the 125 jets give you about 80hp to the rearwheels. It's relatively safe, as long as you keep the bottle pressure regulated to 1000psi or less, and use a window switch to protect from over revving (if you have an M6). This was my first nitrous kit, and it was fun for about a year or so.

Personally, I prefer a good wetkit. Like Texas Nitrous Technology or Nitrous Express. The kits use a combination of fuel and nitrous sprayed through foggers that feed into your throttlebody. They are just a little more work to install, and are a bit more expensive. However they do rate thier horsepower at the rear wheels, and believe me, when you hit the juice with a 150 shot, there will be no mistaking that you are running a wet kit.

Be sure to get a set of NGK TR6 spark plugs. And get an MSD/NOS/Mallory window switch to protect the motor. Follow the directions, never spray below 3200rpm, seek medical assistance, some assembly required, batteries not included. Nitrous will void your warranty.

the 5177 kit is a good dry kit and is easy to install. Just make sure you don't use any type of advanced programming like the HPP3 or the air temp module. Also make sure you use copper plugs, NGK TR-6's.

I did the TNT F1 wet kit. Right now I'm spraying 100 shot and loving life. It takes a little time to get it all hooked up, but once you done its well worth it!

just be careful with the nos...it can make the floor board bolts come loose under a 30 second hit, and make sure to monitor your laptop so you know when things get critical...and remember if your in a parking lot and someone yells "NOS"...run because that means someones car is going to blow up, and then these japanese guys will drive away on motorcycles.

Also if whoever you are racing says "too soon junior," then you will lose the race and your dad's car. Or you will keep the car, but there will be two asians on dirt bikes shooting at you
