I've heard they "open up" your nitrous shot. Do long tubes really affect numbers, both on a dyno and at the track? I just had SLP's put on so I'm seeing what I'm in for.
By your meaning of opening up I assume you want to know if the dosage is greater with the addition of longtubes. You bet your sweet azz it is Sorry I got a little excited when I thought of longtubes there. The SLP's are really going to allow the N20 shot to shine. Like the above posted, he gained 35 RWHP just with the addition of longtubes.

I see now, because I dynoed my car finally but I screwed up and dynoed on a smaller shot. Oh well I actually made up the different with the LT's Before I dynoed a 130 shot, and gained 92 to the wheels. Now I gained just about 80 to the wheels with a 100 shot. I'm going to dyno again in about a week or so with the 130 jets.

IM HEARING 30HP/30TQ GAIN REAR WHELL GOOD HEADERS AVERAGE
I did some testing on a mildly modified LS1 with nitrous a few years ago. The car picked up about 54hp and 74 ft-lb torque on the bottle by switching from the stock manifolds to a set of long tube headers.
Long tubes and nitrous are two mods that work very well together
