Re: ok how about a serious TnT F1 vs NX wet kit debate
I think TNTs Power ring is its best quality. It has dual nozzles, one on each side for better distrabution. I don't feel safe with one mounted on one side of the intake. If you want a good nozzle like that with the NX kit you would have to buy the MAF kit which last time I checked was like 300 bucks.

i have had both, and i prefer the tnt kit with one exception and that is cutting your lid. it just never fits the same again. but the power gain more than makes up for it. the nx kit would be great if you got the maf also. i was going to go that way, but got a sweet deal on a used tnt front end.
i still havent got to dyno my tnt kit, but the nx kit made 434hp/570 tq on my car, but i think the tnt kit makes quite a bit more just from the seat of the pants feeling.

Re: ok how about a serious TnT F1 vs NX wet kit debate
both are great kits, NX are jetted a little richer i think
TNT and NX both rate at the wheels, which i do not like, i woudl like to know the actual amount of N20 going into the motor, cause a 100 or a 200 hp power gain, means nothing, because its simple, the more N20, the bigger #'s you will get.
The atomization of the N20 and Fuel, is a bigger concern of mine.
I would like to see back to back 100 hp pills of NX and TNT, start with 2 full bottles, and run them and see who runs out first. (not on a car, just run the bottle empty first.
I think that TNT will empty first, but thats speculation, im going by the 150 rwhp that people have seen with 100 hp jets. If thats the case, then all the "tnt makes more power" means nothing.
If the 2 run out the same time, then TNT's jetting/fuel atomixation is better, and its actually the design that makes a better kit. However, this is not been done, so no concrete evidence exists to my knowledge.
Both kits are nice, and blow the NOS kit ouf of the water, in terms of quality of noids, ect...
but when it comes to accessories, NX is way ahead, their switch panel, the opener, and pressure controled heater.

Re: ok how about a serious TnT F1 vs NX wet kit debate
I bought the standard TNT F1 kit and then "accessorized" with all the cool NX goodies.....heater, opener, electric press gauge.
I used a covertible top switchplate for my switch panel (replaces the little cubby-hole in the console next to the lighter). The NX opener switch fits right in the factory hole for the convertible top opener, and there's plenty of room for your arming, heater, and purge switches.... and it's a factory piece so it matches and snaps right in.

I am an NX man and I have the Maf set up. I already had a NX kit and just got the MAF plate for 370.00 I think. Distribution from the system is AWESOME! I have only run NOS and NX systems so I really cant comment on TNT, other than that people are getting big numbers on small shots which makes me a little nervous. You want a 100 shot and come to find out that its putting 150 down, could lead to some problems if your fuel system isnt up to snuff

If you calculate the actual surface area of the two jets of a TNT system, and compare it to a Single jet in a Nitrous Express system, you will see TNT uses a Larger Nitrous jet, and the same or smaller Fuel jet. Guess what happens? Big Surprise. More Power.
I'm not knocking TNT in anyway, but at least be informed in how one system makes more power then another. I'm sure TNT have the market cornered for fairy dust that magically makes the system make more power.
Generally speaking, a nitrous system is just like a computer. $#!t in $#!t out. At this small level there just isn't that much of a difference to be made in the details (Flow, Atomization, etc).

Re: ok how about a serious TnT F1 vs NX wet kit debate
Just put in the TNT conversion....PHACK ME! Talk about a kick in the @ss. Way better then the dry #5177 kit. Cutting the lid was no real terrible deal. Just take off little bits at a time. You cant come back from too much. My buddy had NX wet on his 00 Z-28. It worked pretty good, but I was always suspect of the one fogger setup on one side for the distribution properties.
